Give Me Direction 2010

Sharon Horgan interviews comedienne Alice Lowe and director Jacqueline Wright featuring screenings of their award winning short comedy films.

Alice Lowe's numerous comedy roles include appearances in 'The Mighty Boosh', 'Little Britain', 'The I.T. Crowd', 'Pulling' and 'Hot Fuzz'. She recently wrote sketches for the BAFTA winning 'Harry and Paul' and last year she supported Steve Coogan on his nationwide tour. She is currently writing a feature film 'The Sightseers' for Film4 and BigTalk.

Alice has been collaborating with director Jacqueline Wright since 2005. The pair have made several award winning short films including 'Sticks and Balls' which screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2007. Their latest collaboration is the Jackal Films internet project, where they aim to make a film every month in 2010. In a response to the recession and film and TV industry cutbacks, they wanted to challenge themselves to continue to produce high quality material and scripts.
